If you're here, I want to encourage you that this is one of the best and most important decisions you can make for your life. Whether you've decided to enter in to a relationship with Jesus Christ for the first time, or you've made the decision to return back to Him, you won't regret making that commitment. Before any calling or purpose, we were all created by and for the Lord—to worship Him and know Him. Praying the prayer below is the first major step towards that.

Pray this prayer out loud:

Jesus, I believe that You are Lord and that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead to save me. I recognize that I am a sinner and I repent and ask that you forgive me of all my sins and wash me by your blood. I surrender my life to You. I want to know You and live for You. Fill me up, Holy Spirit, and lead me in all my ways.
In Jesus' name, amen.

Next Steps

You've said yes to Jesus, now what?

Being saved is more than just a prayer you say in one moment. Walking with Jesus is a relationship, and just like with any relationship, it is important to be consistent and committed. The bible says, "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12) and, "But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved." (Matthew 24:13). Salvation is a gift from God, it's not something that we earn. But just as with any gift, we’re called to steward it well through a life of surrender, obedience, and endurance as we grow in our relationship with Him. Here are some important ways you can begin to grow in your relationship with God.

Pray daily.

Here's a great teaching on how to pray and why having a consistent prayer life is so important.

Get baptized.

See Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 10:22 for the importance of baptism

Connect to a local church.

If you're local to Jacksonville, I highly recommend Ignite The Globe, where I serve and grow. It’s a Spirit-filled church that believes in the full power of the Gospel—including healing, deliverance, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You’re welcome to come visit! Check out the website here. For anywhere else, find a church that preaches/teaches the whole Word of God, believes in the power of the Holy Spirit, and equips you to walk in holiness, power, freedom, and purpose.

Read your bible daily.

My favorite version of the bible is honestly a tie between the CJB and the NASB, but there's nothing wrong with trying out different versions. Other options include KJV, NKJV, AMP, NLT, NIV, and ESV.
